This year’s SPP2453 Summer School on „Mass Spectrometry based Quantitative Proteomics“ will take place at the Institute of Molecular Systems Medicine, Goethe University Frankfurt, from August 17–20, 2026. The four-day intensive Summer School will offer a hands-on training in sample preparation, LC-MS/MS instrumentation, and computational data analysis. Some of you will have the opportunity to bring your own samples and analyze them.

Schülerinnen und Schüler zwischen 13 und 19 Jahren sind herzlich eingeladen, unsere Station am Institut für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie zu besuchen und den Blick in die Zelle zu wagen. Ein Blick in die Zelle Zellen enthalten spezialisierte Untereinheiten, die als Organellen bezeichnet werden. Zu den wichtigsten Zellorganellen gehören Mitochondrien. Sie werden als „Kraftwerke der Zellen“ bezeichnet, da sie einen Großteil der Energie für die Zelle produzieren. Welche weiteren Zellorganellen kennst Du und was ist ihre Funktion? Lerne an unserer Station ein gängiges Verfahren in der Biochemie kennen: Die Chromatografie! Durch die Methode lassen sich Stoffgemische in ihre Einzelteile auftrennen, um sie später analysieren zu können. Was passiert, wenn Du verschiedene Filzstifte auf einem Filterpapier auftrennst? Ist Schwarz wirklich gleich Schwarz?
